Richard Negrete ( artist- faux painter & painting contractor ) is a lifelong resident of Santa Barbara. Attending elementary, junior high, high school and college in Santa Barbara. Richard developed his skills and interest for painting and decorative painting at a young age. While in high school during the summers Richard worked as a painter for local companies and in school Richard was an A+ student in creative-fine art (a tool that would come handy as decorative faux painter ). After high school Richard attended SBC college while working as a painter and picking up ideas for creative faux finishing. Rapidly Richard climbed up the ranks to supervisor for different painting companies. It was just a matter of time before Richard got his contractor license, and establishing his own painting & decorative faux painting company in Santa Barbara. And working his masterpieces down South to: Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Ventura, Camarillo, Malibu and West Los Angeles.

Richard has 20 years of experience in the painting field. And most of his life he's been involved in fine-art one way or another. In addition to regular house painting, Richard specializes in Marmorino-Venetian plaster, Faux painting and trompe l'oeil artistic painting. Most of the work is done in the Santa Barbara-Montecito area. But we also go as far as Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Thousand Oaks areas. Also, Richard has an understanding and appreciation on how color, texture, light and physical environment influence the aesthetics of a room. By having this knowledge and creative thinking, there is no limit on what and how Richard can manipulate different techniques, paints, glazes, and decorative-plasters to create eye catching decorative home finishes for customers. So in other words Richard is the "Picasso of house painting ".
